We are writing a book to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the South High Marathon Dance in 2017!

And we need your help!

We’re looking for photos, especially photos from the early years, before cell phone cameras and Facebook and Instagram and Twitter!

If you have a great photo you’d like to share, please use the link at the bottom of shmd.org to submit the photo along with any relevant information, like who’s in the photo, what year it was and any other descriptions!

We want your written memories, too!

What's your favorite SHMD memory? What’s your most unforgettable moment? Who are your unsung hero or heroes?

Other ideas: Why has it been so successful for 40 years? What’s the secret to SHMD?

We’ll take the photos and written submissions and use as many as we can in the book, which we hope will be available at the 40th annual SHMD in March 2017!

If you have specific ideas for the book, or want to help, please contact Gordon Woodworth at gwtwoodworth@yahoo.com.
Thank you for your interest in helping us capture the 40 years of history behind this amazing event!
